Great Vdeo, the most Optimize way is Openvdb and the Smoothing Deformer in c4d.

This is a long time after the fact, but what I wish was that I had more control over these colors from the random effector. In order to get only pastels I had to go into the material and use a series of color correctors, ramps and remappers. I really wish there was more control in the random effectors for color than just "make them random" or "leave them all the same".

Took me ages to figure out I needed to search gobos for this tutorial. Great stuff! Was trying to figure out how to do what you taught, but didn't think to add texture to a light. 🤦‍♂️

14.29 is so annoying, i do the same copying but when i press play seats are going crazy directions.

Four years too late here, but I'll give it a go! Awesome tutorial! However, in R23 and newest Octane, the first one doesn't work, and the second one "deactivates" every other light in the scene. Suggestions?

He's heavily involved in the process from beginning to end all for a live experience that, quite frankly, most people will take for granted. Using R22 and they have removed the turn off render instance tick box... do you know if there is a new work around for this?

How has this evolved since 2013. It's 2021 now and I'm exploring Unity game engine. Have you moved on to Unreal / Unity? Are you still using Cinema4D? Are you not doing virtual production at all?
